Tara is a Research Associate based in the Low Carbon Building Group of the Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development (OISD) at Oxford Brookes University.

 

Prior to joining Oxford Brookes, Tara worked in architectural practices both in the UK and abroad, working on a variety of projects across the public, healthcare and social housing sectors. Tara holds an MSc in Sustainable Building: Performance and Design from Oxford Brookes University as well as being a registered architect. Her dissertation on the MSc course was a study investigating the criteria for developing effective incentive schemes to encourage low-carbon housing refurbishment in the UK based on analysis of the decision-making processes leading to pro-environmental behaviours. Prior to studying at Oxford Brookes University, she completed a BSc(Hons) in Architectural Studies at the University of Bath including a year at the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Strasbourg.

 

Tara’s research interests include the motivational factors leading to behaviour change and the evaluation of these changes in terms of carbon savings.
